This post and video was inspired as I was walking over to my business partner’s house today to walk his dog while he’s out of town.
It got me thinking about how so many people nowadays are so independent of each other (much different than the way it used to be when people lived in community on a whole different level). We all have it that we have to do everything ourselves, and many of us feel uncomfortable when we have to ask for help… as if we’re imposing on other people.
The fact of the matter is that, as human beings, we have an innate desire to contribute to other people. We want to make a difference. And when someone asks us for help it’s actually an honor and it gives us the opportunity to provide something for another person.
This reminded me of one of the things I love the most about the Network Marketing Industry. It’s an industry that is based on a Cooperative Business Model rather than the Competitive Business Model that is used in Corporate America (where someone literally has to quit, die, or retire in order for someone else to move up the ladder).
*If you’re not familiar with these 2 business models, check out my post that explains them in detail.*
In our industry, it’s all about teamwork… and we literally cannot succeed without helping others succeed. It allows us to really look out for each other (on many levels) and it causes deep and profound friendships to be made along the way.
Watch this video where I explain some examples about this and how my business partner (who was a complete stranger when I answered his ad and joined his business 8 years ago) has become one of my dearest friends thanks to this industry:
I love the power of teamwork… and the way we work together as a team in this industry has changed my life in a huge way and really brought me back to the power of ‘all for one and one for all’. It’s really the way the world was meant to function. 🙂
I’d love to hear your thoughts on teamwork and any experiences you have with it.
To your success,
