Is Mediocrity An Option For You? Building a Home-Based Business is a Marathon Not a Sprint…
It’s really sad to me to observe how many people come into the home-based business arena (internet marketing, network marketing, affiliate marketing, etc) and quit before they ever give themselves the chance to succeed.
Over and over again, I watch people buy a trial for a tool, join a company, or get involved with some sort of opportunity or marketing venture and ‘try it out’ for a couple of weeks or a month and then, after not seeing immediate results, decide it doesn’t work.
When it comes to building a home-based business, it’s a marathon, not a sprint…
Building a home-based business requires consistency over time… it’s not a get-rich-quick scheme. It is literally a marathon, not a sprint.
The tricky thing about it is that sometimes (more often than not) it takes some time before we actually start to see results that are worthwhile in our minds. This is why so many people quit in their home-based business before they ever get ahead…
Watch this video to hear my thoughts on this…
And then ask yourself, “Am I willing to settle for a life of mediocrity?”
Remember, if YOU are the one giving yourself permission to quit your home-based business, YOU also have the power to give yourself permission NOT TO. Remember, it’s a marathon, not a sprint…
Ultimately, it’s your choice. To quit or not to quit… it’s up to you.
But let me ask you this… do you have a habit of trying things (home-based businesses, marketing tools, marketing strategies, etc)Â and then quitting before you ever have a chance to see results? Is so, how has that routine been working out for you?
If the answer to the second question (“Am I willing to settle for a life of mediocrity?”)Â is no… then now is the time to break that old pattern that is no longer serving you. Take into consideration that building a home-based business is a marathon not a sprint and COMMIT to not quitting.
Once the commitment is in place, all there is to do is to start using your system daily, marketing daily, prospecting daily, etc. without continuously looking for the back door.
I promise you, if you start doing this consistently over time (even if you don’t see a whole lot of results in the beginning) your actions will culminate over time and you will start to see big results down the line…
But, if mediocrity is okay with you, you’ll notice that the back door is always open and you’ll always be looking for a way out before success finds you.
Remember, building a home-based business is a marathon not a sprint. Is mediocrity an option for you? If not, it’s time to lace-up and prepare for the long haul.
I’d love to hear your comments and questions about living a life of mediocrity and a marathon vs. a sprint when it comes to building a home-based buisness. Please leave them below… (and you might want to share this with your team as well, just as a friendly reminder). 🙂
