Community First

In Community, Gratitude, Paying it Forward by AmyLeave a Comment

I went to a memorial service last night for a dear friend that passed away earlier in the week. Her name is Suzi, and she’s someone that I met years ago @ the international convention for my network marketing company. She had, just prior to the convention, moved here from Australia to marry a man she met on the internet and didn’t know many people. We sat on the beach together in San Diego during the breaks and discovered we had a lot in common. We became fast friends and have remained very close ever since.

The service for Suzi last night was beautiful… absolutely amazing. There was kind of an open forum where anyone who wanted to could get up and speak about their fond memories of Suzi and many beautiful rituals were performed. The thing that blew my mind, though, more than anything else about the service was the sense of community. The number of incredible people that were there and the vast, high quality community that Suzi had created in the 5 short years that she’s been living in the states.

I looked around and saw a lot of people from my company… and I got really present to the most powerful and wonderful benefit that comes out of doing a business like this. COMMUNITY. The people in this community have become some of my best friends over the last 6 years that I’ve been doing this business. They are EXTRAORDINARY people… people that are up to something, people that are creating residual income and making a difference in the world, people that are committed to health, people that are raising money for charities and starting foundations, people that REALLY take care of each other.

I think about some of the hard times I’ve endured in the past 6 years and how the people from this community were there to support me every step of the way. I think about the times when I questioned whether this type of business was going to work for me, and that what kept me in it was the irreplaceable community I had created BECAUSE of this business.

We are so incredible fortunate to have the opportunity to be involved in a business like this, that not only provides unlimited earning potential and residual income, but a chance to be a part of a meaningful, extraordinary community. What could be better?

Til next time…

Expect Abundance,

Amy
