Coffee with Paul Lipton (Hour of the Wolf- An Experiment in Ageless Living)

In Book Reviews, Inspiration by Amy4 Comments

I had coffee a few days ago with my friend, Paul Lipton.

Paul is such an incredible inspiration to me in my life…

He’s 70-years-old, does CrossFit (that’s how we met), rides motorcycles, and is chock full of ultra profound wisdom.

One of the things he said to me during out coffee the other day was,

“It’s always such s gift when people are willing to have courageous conversations. Most people are afraid to. What are they afraid of? We are all just a part of the Universe.”

Paul’s book, Hour of the Wolf- An Experiment in Ageless Living, is a life-changing must read.

If you haven’t read it yet, I highly suggest you grab a copy asap.

You can thank me later. 🙂

Paul’s book goes deep into the miracle of each day… and really helps us to remember that the true meaning of life is the way we spend each day.

Here’s another beautiful blurb that Paul recently wrote:

“There was a time when disconnecting was a good thing. You disconnected when you left work. You disconnected from the news of the day ( it was basically just the morning paper or the 6 pm news broadcast… For me that meant Walter Cronkite.) You disconnected as you walked on the beach, hiked a mountain path or rode your motorcycle through the back country. The disconnect seemed to connect you to more and bigger and smaller and subtle things in the day. The disconnect permitted you to connect with yourself on a contemplative level. Yet now in the name of staying connected we seem to have disconnected to what really matters. What is more. What is deeper. What has true meaning. Now it is 24/7 all the time. You can’t really call it news. It is just 24/7 noise. And so connected seems to have disconnected us from purpose and meaning. But I remember a time. An island. A motorcycle. A quiet. A silence when being disconnected permitted us to touch the stars and ride in quiet solitude.”
