A question I get all the time from the people that I help build businesses online is,
“What marketing strategy do you recommend?”
And my answer is always 100% the same- regardless of who I’m talking to.
My answer is always: Marketing is not a one-size-fits-all game.
It’s just not.
The way to get the best results with marketing is to choose a strategy that’s in alignment with
- who you are,
- what types of things you enjoy doing, and
- your budget.
Here’s the thing… there are TONS of marketing strategies that get great results.
Just in my community alone, most of the top leaders are doing different types of marketing… and they are all having success.
Because they are doing the strategies that are in alignment for them.

I love this because I’m up there (through my content marketing on YouTube and my blog), mixed in with other leaders who are doing solo ads, YouTube Ads, Facebook live marketing, and Facebook messenger marketing… just to name a few.
This is a perfect example of how marketing is not one-size-fits-all.
When deciding on a marketing strategy, one thing I ALWAYS recommend is to find one that you would enjoy doing and something that you can commit to doing consistently.
For example, I LOVE content marketing. So that’s what I do… I create content (videos, blog posts, social media posts, etc) consistently, and get my message in front of my target audience to generate leads.
Some of the other leaders in my community prefer paid marketing. Some are are really good at finding solo ads, others do YouTube ads, and some do Facebook ads.
We have another leader in our community who build his entire business doing Facebook messenger marketing (having FREE conversations with people in Facebook messenger in order to close sales).
ALL of these strategies work… mainly because all of the people that are using them are in alignment with their particular strategy.
People often say to me,
“Well, you are having success with YouTube videos so maybe I should start doing YouTube videos. I just don’t like making videos.”
Hint: If you don’t liking making videos, creating YouTube videos is NOT the right strategy for you.
You’d be WAY better off finding something that you DO like doing.

Are You in Alignment With Your Marketing Strategy?
All of these marketing strategies, by the way, are taught in our HBA Premium membership.
I like to think of it as a ‘buffet’ of marketing strategies… and I always suggest people go through the training for as many strategies as they need to until they find one that they feel in alignment with.
We also have a weekly mastermind where the top leaders share exactly what they’re doing that’s working right now (this week) and people can ask questions and tweak their marketing as needed. I tweak mine all the time based on what I learn there each week.
Here’s the thing… your marketing strategy can change over time… it’s not set in stone.
The most important thing is to pick one and do it consistently over time until you become a master at it and start generating great results.
The biggest pitfall I see people falling into is that they try a strategy for a week and don’t get the results they were after so they switch to another one… and they never get REALLY good at any of them, and never end up having long term success.
I suggest mastering one at a time… doing it consistently until you get good results with it, and then at that point you can always add another one.
That’s where the mastermind comes in really handy. 🙂
