A Mother’s Day Message | My Legacy & My Mother’s Influence on My Love for Technology

Happy Mother’s Day!

My mother passed away when I was 18, and for many years after that Mother’s day was a very hard day of the year for me each year.

I always felt jealous of all of the people going out to brunch, etc and celebrating with their mothers, as I no longer had a mother to celebrate with.

Then, several years following my mother’s death, I attended a luncheon for Motherless Daughters on the day before Mother’s Day.

There was a guest speaker who spoke about the origin of Mother’s Day. She explained that Mother’s day was actually created by a woman who, a year after her mother died, had a huge memorial/celebration in honor of her mother’s life. That was the first Mother’s Day.

Learning this shifted everything for me. From that point forward I have always seen Mother’s Day as an awesome day where I get to celebrate my mother’s life.

Of course, now that I have children of my own, Mother’s Day has taken on other new meaning for me as well.

Today, as I was reflecting back on the memory of my mother, I was thinking about how her passion for technology was part of her legacy that has been passed down to me… and how has now become part of my legacy.

I shot a quick video about it with my mother’s day message for you.

It’s also a huge shout-out to all of the mothers out there. You are all amazing.

I hope you take this day to celebrate your mother, celebrate yourself, celebrate your children, and celebrate life.

A Personal Example from the Last Empower Network Affiliate Contest

There was another Empower Network affiliate contest that took place during the month of March. Some people played to win, and others sat on the sidelines and watched other people play to win.

I played to win. Here’s what happened…

I didn’t win the contest. BUT I came in 40th place and won an iPod shuffle, 2 tickets to the Empower Network event in Atlanta that’s coming up in June, and earned an extra $5k that month simply by playing the game. It was fun and well worth the effort.

The same goes for my fitness goal. I may not end up being in the best shape of my life by the end of this month on time for my birthday… but what I know for certain is that I’m already in WAY better shape than I was a few months ago when I started playing this game.

The Importance of Having a Strong ‘Why’ (And Something I Recently Added To Mine)

Having a strong ‘Why’ is a crucial component of being successful… especially for any type of entrepreneur.

Knowing that you want to have a lot of money is not a good enough Why… you need a solid reason that you can get emotionally connected to that will inspire and motivate you to be consistent and persistent in your business and drive you toward success.

In this video, I share my Why with you… including a new part that I recently added to my ‘Why’ that is driving me – big time- to be successful right now.

Another part of my ‘why’ that I didn’t mention in the video is helping my team succeed.

The thing that drives me the most in my life is helping others… that’s why all of the apects of my ‘why’ revolve around helping others.

What’s your ‘Why’?

I wrote a post a few months back that goes into detail about how to create a powerful why that will cause you to be unstoppable. You can read all about it here. I suggest reading this post and then sitting down and getting REALLy clear about what drives you in your life.

It’s different for everybody… yours might be COMPLETELY different than mine, and that’s okay.

Emotion – The Key Ingredient to Having a Strong ‘Why’

When coming up with your ‘Why’, the main thing you want to focus on is finding something that has emotion connected to it. It ought to be something that you can literally embody, something that maybe even brings tears to your eyes when you think about it.

Many people make the mistake of created a ‘Why’ along the lines of “I want to have more money in my life” or “I want to be rich.”

These types of statements have no emotion behind them, and more than likely wanting money alone will not propel you into success in your business.

So, in order to create a strong ‘Why’ ask yourself,

“What will the money provide for me in my life?”

You can ask this question in response to your answer as well… and just keep asking it and peeling of more and more layers of the onion until you hit the emotional place at the bottom of all of it.

Using Paid Marketing Strategies to Build a List Quickly

If you’ve been in the internet marketing industry for any length of time, you’ve probably at least dabbled in paid marketing strategies.

And of course you know that in order to have a successful business on the internet you have to create consistent cash flow.

The best way to create cash flow is to

•  have a great offer and
• get as many people as possible to see that offer.

There are many ways going about getting traffic to your offer… but the 2 main categories all of the strategies fall into are:

1) Free marketing strategies (blogging, SEO, content marketing, article marketing, etc)

2) Paid marketing strategies (Google PPC, Facebook PPC, YouTube PPV, Solo ads, etc)

The Importance of Building a List

Let me start off by saying that the key to internet marketing is in building a list of people who are interested in what you have to offer. These are people that will spend money on the things you offer, and you can continue to market to them forever. You can market anything you like to them… things such as your own products, your network marketing opportunity, or an affiliate program.

There’s an old expression that says,

“The money’s in the list.”

This is so true…

Paid Marketing Strategies vs. Free Marketing Strategies

The nice thing about “paid marketing strategies” is that they allow you to build your list (a list of leads- people that are interested in what you have to offer) very quickly.

Free marketing strategies are awesome as well… they just take a little time to start paying off.

Either way – your primary goal should be to build a list - because then all you have to do is send a new OFFER each time you run across  something that can benefit the people on your list and you’ll get paid.

For example, one of the most powerful programs for making money online today is the Empower Network which I joined right when it launched in October of 2011.

Remember: The best way to create cash flow is to

1) have a great offer and 2) get as many people as possible to see that offer.

The beautiful thing about the Empower Network is that it completely takes care of #1- it gives it’s members a great offer… so our only job then becomes simply to get as many people as possible to see that offer.

Paid Marketing Strategies To Build a List Quickly

When people are just getting started in the list-building process, I usually recommend implementing some paid marketing strategies to start adding leads to the list quickly.

I personally use solo ads, Facebook PPC, YouTube PPV, Linked-In PPC, marketing co-ops, and a few other strategies… I’m always trying new things and testing new paid marketing strategies. I also offer co-ops for my team to help people get on on some of my advertising methods without having to do the work themselves.

My New Favorite Paid Marketing Strategy

I was also just recently introduced to a new paid marketing strategy-  a co-op that allows you to plug in up to 10 of your URL’s and they do all of the marketing for you, for a mere $24.95/month.

This is a no-brainer in my opinion, as you should always be re-investing AT LEAST 20% of your profits in any business back into your marketing so that can continuously be ‘scaling up’ your business. This co-op takes all of the guess-work out… at least for $24.95 worth of your marketing budget. It’s called All Inclusive Ads.

The Bottom Line

In order to have success in internet marketing you just need to

1) Pick a program to promote. Any program. Like Empower Network, for example.

2) Promote it like crazy with the goal of building a list first and foremost. Paid marketing strategies will expedite this process.

3) Market to your list and you get paid even when people do not ever join your “primary program.”

And if you have a killer program like the Empower Network with awesome capture pages and products  that convert like crazy… there’s nothing to figure out or set up… you simply need to start implementing some free and paid marketing strategies to get as many people as possible in front of your offer.

That’s where strategies like Facebook PPC, Solo Ads, and All Inclusive Ads come into play.

When you have a proven offer, it’s as simple as plug and play… and the more you do it, the more succes you’ll have.

Having success with paid marketing strategies is definitely not rocket science.

How To Use Subdomains to Simplify Your Affiliate Marketing (& Make It Look More Professional)

If you do any type if marketing on the internet, knowing how to use subdomains will simplify your marketing (and make it much more professional).

What is a Subdomain?

A subdomain is an extended version of your existing domain name that can be used for a specific purpose to help streamline and simplify your marketing.

Depending on where you register your domain name, the packages may be different. I register mine with GoDaddy, so I’ll use GoDaddy for the sake of this demonstration… just know that some of the facts and techniques may differ.

When you register a domain name with Godaddy, you get 99 free subdomains that you can use with each domain name that you register. This makes it very easy to create a unique subdomain each time you have a different affiliate link, etc that you want to use within that domain name.

Here’s a quick video that explains how to use subdomains:

Some Examples of How To Use Subdomains

Here are some personal examples of “how to use subdomains”.

I am a member of the Empower Network, and when we market within the Empower Network we are given an affiliate link for each capture page, video, Livestream, Facebook app, etc that we can use to market the Empower Network with.

I registered the domain name http://www.PureProfitsNow.com that takes people directly to one of my capture pages when they click on it. It’s a much cleaner way to send someone to my page, as my actual link looks like this: http://www.empowernetwork.com/theylovetobuy.php?id=Amystarrallen.

From that domain name (http://www.PureProfitsNow.com), I can create up to 99 subdomains that are relevant.

For example, within the Empower Network we often have Livestreams that we can send people to to get training and learn more about the Empower Network. My link to send people to these Livestreams looks like this:

https://www.empowernetwork.com/livefromthebeach.php?id=Amystarrallen

However, in order to simplify and streamline my marketing, I created the subdomain http://livestream.PureProfitsNow.com .

This way, when I’m promoting a Livestream on Facebook or in an email or whatever, I don’t have to remember my long affiliate link, I can just use my neat and tidy subdomain (and it looks way more professional, too).

The Empower Network also has a cool Facebook app where we can send people to watch Livestreams, etc right in Facebook. My affiliate link for that looks like this:

https://apps.facebook.com/empower_blog/?id=Amystarrallen

But I created the subdomain http://fbapp.PureProfitsNow.com that I can use to easily send people to my Facebook app page.

The Empower Network also has multiple capture pages that we can use to promote it… I’ve created subdomains for each of these as well so that I can easily send people to the one I think is best at any given time.

For example, for this capture page: http://www.empowernetwork.com/weirdmarketingtricks.php?id=Amystarrallen, I created the subdomain http://market.PureProfitsNow.com .

And for this captire page: http://www.empowernetwork.com/theylovetobuy.php?id=Amystarrallen I created the subdomain http://buy.PureProfitsNow.com.

There are a ton of things you can use subdomains for… the uses are literally endless. And there is no additional cost to create subdomains once you have purchased your domain name, so you can use them freely to simplify and streamline and tidy up your marketing.

Lifestyle Freedom & The Empower Network | Footage and Gratitude From Today

Me & Olivia April 20, 2012

I had a great day with my daughter today… there was no school so we spent the day hiking, going out to lunch, and just having fun.

Not once did I have to stop and look at the time… my calendar was completely free of appointments, as it is most days now. This is because of the Empower Network and I am so grateful.

Time Freedom With the Empower Network

As I was out in nature today what really hit home for me was how much more time freedom I have now thanks to the Empower Network.

I’ve been in the Network Marketing industry for over 9 years and have created substantial residual income in network marketing which has given me substantial time freedom…. but network marketing always required a lot more of my time because I was constantly having to be on three-way-calls and follow up calls, etc in order to grow (or even to maintain my downline).

Now, thanks to the Empower Network, I no longer have to do these things, and it has allowed me to create substantial residual income while having a whole lot more time freedom. I am so unbelievable grateful…

The Empower Network Changes the Game

I don’t mean to sound like I’m complaining about Network Marketing… I’m grateful for the industry and it has certainly made a significant difference in my life.

However, since the launch of the “Empower Network” in October of 2011, the game has changed significantly for many people (on the day this post is being written there are currently over 22,000 members of the Empower Network).

Many people are using the Empower Network to help them build their other businesses… this platform actually works beautifully in addition to any other company or business you may be involved with (I have an entire blog post and video dedicated to this topic here).

Others (myself included) are treating the Empower Network as their primary business because with the value it provides, the 100% commissions, and the way the comp plan is structured, it just doesn’t make sense to me to spend my time doing anything else at the moment.

As a matter of fact, on our weekly Empower Network call this week, we found out that some of the network marketing industry icons who are involved in the Empower Network, have recently resigned from their Network Marketing companies to focus on just the Empower Network.

Believe me when I tell you, it really is that good.

My Gratitude for the Empower Network

So, the purpose of my post today is to just express my gratitude for the Empower Network, and to David Wood and David Sharpe for creating it. My life has been significatly changed in so many ways, and I am so excited about where this company is going and what the future holds for all of us.

I’m a single mom and I am extremely passionate about helping other moms and parents create financial freedom and time freedom so that they can spend more time with their children. The Empower Network has made it significantly easier for me to be able to help moms and dads do this.

How to Create Viral Content on Your Blog Without SEO

As you probably know by now, I am a proud member of the Empower Network… and one of the things I love most about the Empower Network is the training. It’s a great way to stay on the cutting edge of marketing and to pick up lots of great tips about things you may never have considered.

I just finished listening to another amazing Inner Circle interview inside of the Empower Network, and wanted to share this marketing tip with you about how to create viral content on your blog without SEO… it ROCKS.

As you’re probably aware, there are lots of paid strategies when it comes to marketing (solo ads, Facebook PPC, etc). The strategy I want to share with you today is absolutely free… and doesn’t even require any SEO knowledge.

I have some other posts where I talk about the power of content marketing and even break down some of the numbers that are possible as far as leads, etc.

Today I’m going to talk about blogging and how to create viral content without knowing anything about SEO (search engine optimization).

It’s actually very simple… an when you have an Empower Network blog it’s also very easy to monetize your traffic, too.

Here is the simple process that explains How to Create Viral Content on Your Blog Without SEO

1) Go to http://Youtube.com  or http://www.drudge.com/ and find some content (an article or a video) that you find interesting.

2) Copy and paste the content onto your Empower Network blog or another blog if you’re not in the Empower Network yet (you can also click here to get an Empower Network blog now if you want one).

3) Make sure to link back to the original souce of the content (Youtube, Drudge, etc) and give credit at the end (something like,” This is a post from___”).

4) Publish the post on your Empower Network blog and then go and share a link to your blog post on Facebook, Twitter, via email, etc.

This will generate tons of traffic to your blog (especially if your content is about a topic that is interesting to many people because they will share it with their friends and followers as well).

You will start generating loads of comments on your blog and, if it’s an Empower Network blog, you will also generate leads and sales because a percentage of your visitors will click on the banners on your blog and be taken into the amazing and powerful Empower Network sales funnel.

Then, you can take a percentage of those sales and reinvest into some paid marketing strategies as well and watch your business grow exponentially.
